Exclusive photo shoot

Back in May 2009, Vicky and Michael from Boilerhouse won first and second place respectively in a hairdressing photo competition organised by BL Hairdressing College. This netted them an exclusive styling seminar with Lee Stafford and a one-off photoshoot with Tigi. As expected, the styling duo rocked the photoshoot, and we have the evidence right here (see the competition entries and more shoot pictures in the gallery).

Boilerhouse triumphs at fashion shoot competition!

Boilerhouse recently scooped both first and second place in a hairdressing photo competition organised by BL Hairdressing College. The results of the contest, judged by BL, Clynol, Tigi and the mighty Lee Stafford, were announced at BL's 2009 Fashion Show in Sunderland. The winning spot went to Boilerhouse senior stylist Vicky, with Michael from the Boilerhouse taking second place. Vicky won an exclusive photoshoot and seminar with Tigi, and both first and second place won a styling seminar with Lee Stafford, held at BL College.

Free wig service for Boilerhouse clients, friends & family

Do you know anyone who through illness or hair loss has to wear a wig? If so, Kim here at Boilerhouse can help!

In 2007 Kim launched a FREE new service for women who need to wear a wig for any reason from chemotherapy treatment to alopecia.

For women, losing their hair is a very traumatic experience and often comes hand-in-hand with other distressing health issues. Kim wants to help women to feel more confident about their image and boost their self-esteem and that’s why she has introduced this FREE service. Clients wishing to use this service should speak to Kim - the new service is discreet, professional, compassionate and confidential, here at Boilerhouse salon, in an area of the salon which is especially dedicated to the purpose.

As part of the service, Kim, who has been trained by top UK wig stylist and hairdresser, Trevor Sorbie, and who herself has 32 years experience in the hairdressing field, will be offering:

-Wig cutting and styling service
-Wig after care advice
-Tips on how to wear, dress and style wigs
-Talks, help and advice on hair fashions
-Advice on matching accessories with wigs
